This is a reminder to parents of K-12 children that the application deadline for Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) – also known as the Texas School Choice Voucher Program – has been extended to Tuesday, March 31st, 2026.
What your child can receive?
- $10,000 per child for Private or Religious schoools
- Upto $30,000 per child for Special Education
- Islamic Schools are now being approved and added to the program – for example, Darul Arqam North and Houston Peace Academy.
- If your school is not yet visible:
- Apply now
- Submit application
- Check back for school selection
- Applications are lottery-based. If you do not apply, your child is not in the pool. Apply now. Do not wait for the “perfect” moment.
