Ex–NASA Scientist | Author | Global Da’wah Presenter
Dr. Abdul Hye holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Windsor, Canada, and has lived in Houston since 1981. He served over 28 years at NASA’s Johnson Space Center, contributing to the Space Station, Space Shuttle, and Spacelab programs. He has authored 17 technical papers, holds a U.S. patent, and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas.
Beyond science, Dr. Hye has become a global voice for Da’wah and Islamic education:
- Authored 20 books on Islam, Da’wah, and comparative religion.
- Translated the Easy Qur’an for universal readers — now used by the Pentagon, and available in English, Spanish, and French.
- Developed over 40 PowerPoint presentations on Islam and Da’wah, presented in 200+ cities across the U.S., Canada, and worldwide.
- His most popular topics include “Qur’an & Science” and “Black Hole.”
- Frequently invited by international organizations, universities, and ministries — including a 2012 national event in Bahrain attended by over 2,000 students and scholars.
- Has presented in Saudi Arabia, Japan, Australia, Malaysia, Oman, Bangladesh, Trinidad, Guyana, and New Zealand.
- Provides free Qur’ans and educational materials to Muslims in U.S. prisons.
