Glad Tidings to the Strangers w/ Shaykh Yahya Graff

WHO: Reverts/converts to Islam, anyone interested in Islam

WHEN: Saturday, December 31 | 5 pm – 7:30 pm

WHERE: Multipurpose hall/gymnasium

RSVP HERE: bit.ly/muslim-convert-dinner

The Messenger of Allah ‎ﷺ said, “Islam began as something strange and it will return to being strange, so blessed are the strangers.” (Muslim 145)

Our revert/convert brothers and sisters can feel alienated and alone because the reality they’ve lived all their lives has changed, and change is always scary. But, you found something in Islam which is why you continued moving forward on this journey. You’ve become strange yourself following this path of strangeness! Let’s get together on Saturday, December 31 from 5 pm to 7:30 pm in the multipurpose hall/gymnasium to renew our faith and remind ourselves what it means to be Muslim.

This is a casual event where we will have dinner and conversations with each other. If you’re comfortable doing so, you’re encouraged to share your journey to Islam, what being Muslim means to you etc. and, if you have something that represents this journey (your first Qur’an, a diary entry, a piece of art or anything else), bring it with you!

Please remember to RSVP. We look forward to having you, in sha Allah (God willing)!
