Meet the Candidates – Associate Director

Everyone is invited to come and meet and evaluate the candidates for the Associate Director position for Masjid AlSalam (Champions).
The AD position is the top position for the masjid and the person in that role presides over the council of elected representatives from all zip codes that are associated with our masjid.
This is an extremely important position and demands a great deal of commitment of time and energy from the person in this post.
Please perform your duty as a member of this community to seriously evaluate and elect the best person for the job.
Here are the candidates running for the AD Position:

Br. Zakir Hussain:

Assalamu alakum wa Rahmatullah, I am M. Zakir Hussain. I have been WORKING AS a construction professional working as an Estimating Manager for the last 25 years. In addition to building upon what is already working good for our community, I envision improved Islamic Education, mainly making understanding the Quran a priority, at least one Ayah a day after Magrib or Isha, Monday to Friday, especially for the Asian community.

Also, start a Political Action Committee just like AIPAC.

Facilities Management and a good maintenance team to take better care of the Masjid. I also would like to widen both entrance gates.
