A Total Lunar Eclipse will begin in Houston at approximately 1:26 AM CST in the early hours of Friday, March 14th and will last until approximately 2:31 AM CST. During the total lunar eclipse the earth moves directly between the sun and the moon, blocking sunlight and casting a shadow over the lunar surface. As this happens the moon takes on a “reddish hue”.
Dr. Sh. Abdurahman Hejazi will lead a congregational sunnah prayer for the eclipse, followed by a short khutbah about the significance of this sunnah.
