DUA Montessori Program is run out of Darul Arqam North at 11815 Adel Rd, Houston. The following is a message from Sister Saboohi Adhami, the Principal of Darul Arqam North.
Assalamualikum ,
I have been asked by some of my community members if Darul Arqam North has been running a Montessori program. My response to them is yes.
Our Pre School offers a peaceful, beautiful and orderly learning environment. Children learn with multi sensory hands on Montessori material by a our Montessori certified teacher. In our Day Care we follow Montessori curriculum that emphasizes learning as a process that cannot be determined by a child’ s age. We have not advertised it as Montessori because we have embedded some traditional methods to our program for a smooth transition to elementary grades. Most of our students stay with Darul Arqam from Pre-K to high or middle school so they don’t have any adjustment problems which have been seen in many Montessori schools.
