Houston Building Resilience is a training program for community leaders, teachers, and mental health practitioners  to strengthen Houston’s ability to resist extremist groups who are targeting emotionally vulnerable youth. By equipping families and trusted mentors with necessary information and tools, Houston can build resilience to groups and ideologies that pull vulnerable individuals to the extremes.

This project is community-led and community-driven. The training program is being overseen by a diverse Steering Committee with representation from the City of Houston, the Harris Center for Mental Health, Interfaith Ministries of Greater Houston, Houston Endowment, the Alliance for Compassion and Tolerance, the Center for Healing From Racism, the Islamic Society of Greater Houston, and other community leaders.

Please join us on Saturday April 6th, 2019 at 9:00 AM to attend the training.
