Update: Friday July 12th:

We are pleased to inform you that Alhamdulillah, power has been restored at Masjid AlSalam.

  • All our classes and programs will be resumed starting from tomorrow.
  • The masjid is now open as a cooling center for community members where you can stay overnight if needed. Please visit the administrative office for details.
  • ISGH and Masjid AlSalam (Champions) assume no liability or responsibility. By staying here, you agree to do so at your own discretion.
  • Guest WiFi has been enabled for your convenience.

Please feel free to come and stay cool at your masjid.

Update: Thursday July 11th:

Dear Champions Community,

  • We hope and pray to Allah (SWT) that everyone is safe after the devastation to our area brought by Hurricane Beryl.
  • Power is slowly being restored in communities. Currently, our masjid still does not have power and water.
  • All programs and classes are postponed until further notice.
  • If power is not restored by tomorrow, here are some suggestions for Jumah prayers.
    • We encourage the community to pray at nearby ISGH centers that have power for your convenience.
    • If you decide to pray at Champions Masjid, please make wudhu at home.
    • We will perform all three Jumah salahs at the scheduled times in the MPH, similar to Eid day, with space for sisters at the back.
    • Friday khutbas (sermons) at Masjifd AlSalam are expected to be very brief. Please plan to arrive in time or you may miss the salah.
    • With various traffic lights still out, we are asking for volunteers to assist with directing traffic on Friday.
    • Please bring a shoe bag to keep your shoes with you.
