IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO BOARD PLEASE MAKE AN ATTEMPT TO DRIVE TO THE PROTEST TO SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR PALESTINIANS.
WHEN: Sunday, November 12th, 2023 | Departure at 9 AM CST
PICKUP FROM: Masjid AlSalam – 16700 Old Louetta Road, Spring, TX 77379
- Register for a FREE RIDE on the bus to and from Austin for the state-wide protest for Palestine organized by multiple national level organizations.
- Please use THIS LINK to register. Please use the same name that is shown on your ID. You may be asked to show your ID to get on the bus so we can ensure the people that registered are able to get on the bus. If more people registered than the bus capacity allows the ones that registered earlier will be boarded first.
- Free snacks and water will be provided during the bus ride.
- Bus will drop us around east end of the Capitol in Austin by about 1 PM. Communicate with your driver for the pick up location for the return trip.
- Here is an approximate agenda of events:
- Program will start 2-2:30 PM with du’a and opening statement.
- Various Speakers will speak.
- Pray Asr 3:30 pm
- Protest rally will start right after Asr.
- Security will be there in orange vests.( Anyone wants to Volunteer let us know)
- Water will be supplied.
- Restrooms can be used in the Capitol building.
- Return to the masjid is estimated to be at 8 PM.
- What to bring:
- Posters, banners, cards
- First Aid kits (if you feel necessary)
- Drums to make noises( if you like)
- Anyone going on this trip is required to acknowledge and accept the terms of the Release of Liability document linked HERE.
