The Masjid Al Salam Youth Director is organizing and leading first of many retreats, Tazkiyah Retreat, a 11-day spiritual (emaan boosting) trip to California for our youth (college and up) from December 26th, 2019 – January 5th, 2020.
The purpose of the retreat is to connect with Allah among the signs of Allah, re-discover ourselves and reclaim our inner narrative through introspection.
The journey would begins at NorCal attending sites such as Yosemite Valley, Mono Lake, Golden Gate Bridge (Battery Park), 17 Mile Drive, and many all. Then we will drive back down to SoCal to visit other great sites such as Big Sur, Phefiffer Beach, Torrey Pines, Lake Isabella and many others.
Throughout the trip there will be activities such as qur’an halaqas, discussions, hiking, adventuring, reflections, and memorization.
This retreat will have an intense programming with many talks, discussions and reflections. The seats are extremely limited.
The cost of the retreat is $ 350 per person. It covers transportation, accommodation, parks access, and other travel expenses. The cost doesn’t include food, however, we may have breakfast available based on our accommodations.
This trip is for brothers and sisters (separate vans and lodging) in college (high school seniors may join per recommendation) and above. There will be sister staff (a mom with years of youth development experience) who will join the programming as counselor for sisters.
